The Early Childhood Institute (ECI) is dedicated to expanding and deepening the Judaic and pedagogic knowledge and skills of educators working in Jewish communities. Hebrew College's Annual Early Childhood Jewish Education conferences and seminars are designed for educators, clergy  and professionals working with children and young families in Jewish preschools, day schools, supplementary schools and other educational settings.

We are excited to announce that in celebration of Israel's 70th birthday, Hebrew College will be holding an extended conference consisting of four days of learning between October 28th and 31st, with each day dedicated to different topics.  The Call for Papers applies to the day of Tuesday, October 30th, dedicated towards Israel in Early Education.

The Four Days of Israel schedule is as follows:

I. Sunday, October 28 (1:30-4:00pm) - Educational visit to the Wonder of Learning Exhibit at Wheelock/Boston University

II. Monday, October 29 -

  • Understanding and Teaching Israel - for educators teaching all ages (Details to follow)
  • Torah Godly Play with a focus on the "Land" 

III. Tuesday, October 30 (8:30am - 3:30pm) - Israel in Early Education (0-8 and families) 

IV. Wednesday, October 31 - Educational site visits - see how Israel can be incorporated into educational settings in the local area
