The Early Childhood Institute (ECI) is dedicated to expanding and deepening the Judaic and pedagogic knowledge and skills of educators working in Jewish communities. Hebrew College's Annual Early Childhood Jewish Education conferences and seminars are designed for educators, clergy  and professionals working with children and young families in Jewish preschools, day schools, supplementary schools and other educational settings.

We are excited to announce that in celebration of Israel's 70th birthday, Hebrew College will be holding an extended conference consisting of four days of learning between October 28th and 31st, with each day dedicated to different topics.  The Call for Papers applies to the day of Tuesday, October 30th, dedicated towards Israel in Early Education.

The schedule for the four days of the conference is as follows:

I. Sunday, October 28 (1:30-4:00pm) - The Environment as a Teacher

Educational visit to the Wonder of Learning Exhibit at Wheelock/Boston University with Rachel Raz

II. Monday, October 29 - The Multiple Dimensions of Israel

Understanding and Teaching Israel - for educators and professionals teaching all ages 

III. Tuesday, October 30 (8:30am - 3:30pm) - Israel in Early Education

For educators and professionals working with children ages 0-8 and their families

IV. Wednesday, October 31 - Best Practices: Learning from the Field

Educational site visits - see how Israel can be incorporated into educational settings in the local area
