 During this half-day gathering, participants will explore the uses of personal narrative in interreligious leadership. This will include both philosophical and pedagogic reflection, as well as practice in the craft of storytelling.

8:00-8:45 am – Registration & Breakfast

9:00-9:15 am – Introduction, Dr. Mary Elizabeth Moore, Dean, BU School of Theology

9:15-10:30 am – “The Power of Our Stories,” Catherine Burns, Creative Director, The Moth

10:30-10:40 am – Break (coffee and snacks)

10:45-11:30 – “Storytelling as a Tool for Interreligious Engagement,” Small Group Exercise, Introduction, Dr. Jenifer Howe Peace, Andover Newton Theological School

11:35-12:30 – “Spiritual Autobiography: An Interview with James Carroll,” with Rabbi Or Rose, Hebrew College

12:30-1:15 pm – Lunch & Closing Remarks, Dr. Mary Elizabeth Moore, Dean BU School of Theology
