The impact of the latest advances in biotechnology on society—including stem cell research—is the subject of Biotechnology, Ethics and Public Policy, a March 9–10 conference co-sponsored by the Wilstein Institute of Jewish Policy Studies, a resident affiliate of Hebrew College, and the Interreligious Center on Public Life (ICPL), a joint venture of Hebrew College and Andover Newton Theological School. The conference will address four major aspects of the debate—the current state of biotechnology, the legal and societal issues involved, ethical and religious concerns and the implications for public policy.

Scholars and professionals from the fields of biotechnology and ethics as well as the Jewish, Christian and Islamic traditions will present a wide range of perspectives. For more information, contact the Wilstein Institute at 617-559-8790 or email wilstein@hebrewcollege.edu.
