If all you saw of Israel was what’s in the news, you’d think the entire country was nothing but war and conflict. But behind the headlines, 10 million Israelis are living full, complex, and vibrant lives—shaped by cultural forces that rarely make the evening news. We’ll look behind the curtain exploring six defining “forces” that shape the Israeli psyche and daily reality. Through storytelling, cultural insights, and candid conversation, you’ll gain a nuanced understanding of the country. Rather than telling you what to think, Joel will present multiple perspectives on these complex issues, giving you the context to see the same reality through different eyes—and the space to draw your own conclusions.
