Can We Talk? Center Debuts New Blog

The Center for Global Judaism at Hebrew College this week introduced a new blog focused on Muslim-Jewish relations.

"Can We Talk? A Jewish-Muslim Conversation" debuted March 14 on The Times of Israel, a Jerusalem-based online newspaper covering Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. According to its creator, Rabbi Or Rose, the blog seeks to spark "honest and respectful dialogue" about a range of spiritual, ethical, social and political issues of concern to its contributors and their communities.

In the inaugural column, "Prayer and the Devotional Path," Rose and Homayra Ziad, assistant professor of Islam at Trinity College, focuses on the place of prayer and meditation in our lives. The post can be viewed here.

The Center for Global Judaism was founded in 2011 to convene critical discussions on contemporary Jewish life and thought. It also publishes the blogs Ethical Jam, On Scripture: The Torah and The Sova Project.
