New! Prozdor is Online
Looking for a way to become part of a Jewish learning community with other teens across the country? Jewish teens in the Boston area and southern New England have been studying Judaic and Hebrew studies together at Prozdor since the 1920s. Now, Prozdor is offering an online program so busy teens ages 13-18 all over the U.S. can join our learning community.
- Participate in classes and discussions at times that fit your schedule.
- Choose 10-week, 12-week, or full-year courses. View this fall’s courses.
- Interact with classmates and teachers via a state-of-the-art, interactive online platform. Students discuss readings and assignments, watch and comment on media links, talk to their teachers and classmates and submit assignments, all online, in a highly engaging, social media environment very similar to Facebook.
How Does This Work?
How will I learn online?
Courses will be hosted on Schoology, a state-of-the-art online learning platform that is very popular in high schools. The user-friendly interface feels like Facebook but allows for a wide range of functionality and interaction, including readings, discussions, media links, and assignment submissions.
How long are the courses?
Courses are either 10 or 20 weeks.
How much do courses cost?
A 12-week course costs $125. A full-year, 24-week course costs $250.
What if I want a course that I don't see listed?
Please be in touch with Prozdor Director Dan Brosgol or Ariel Margolis, director of online learning, to let us know what you would like?
Who will I be learning with?
Our courses are for students from quite literally anywhere! We have students from Boston, but also from Florida and California, and anywhere in between.
I'm a Rabbi or educator and want a course for my camp or my synagogue. Can you help me?
Of course! We can customize a course for your camp's Israel trip, your youth group board, your religious school madrichim or your cohort of teen bloggers.
